Library Hosting Winter Reading Challenge

Library needs a part-time library assistant

The Union County Library System is offering its Cozy Up to a Good Book Winter Reading Challenge for all ages again this year. Between now and January 2nd, you are challenged to read for a total of at least 10 hours. Pick up a reading log at the library and return it by January 7 to be eligible for prizes. Prizes will be drawn on January 10. If you have questions, call 427-7140 or email info@unionlibrary.org.

The library is looking to hire a part-time library assistant. The job requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to work evenings and weekends. Those interested must submit a job application to jobs@unionlibrary.org or to the Carnegie Library at 300 East South Street. The application is available online at unionlibrary.org/employment.

The library will be closed for Christmas from December 23-27. They will reopen on Tuesday, December 28, at 8:30 a.m. They will be closed for the New Year on Friday, December 31, and will be back open at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, January 3.
