Library Looks to Hire Assistant Director

The Union County Library System is still looking to hire a full-time assistant director for programs and outreach, as Raven Miller left the library in August for a new role as media specialist at The Cleveland Academy of Leadership in Spartanburg.

The Assistant Director: Programs and Outreach Librarian position is an administrative, public service position. This employee works under the supervision of and consults with the Library Director. They have broad decision-making responsibilities for routine operational matters and some decision-making responsibilities for non-routine matters, including applying library policy to problems as necessary. The Assistant Director acts as Director for the Library when the Director is out of the office. A Masters in Library Science is preferred, but applicants must have a minimum of 18 credit hours completed in the Masters in Library Science program.
