Library Plans Busy Week After Spring Break

Library looking to hire a part-time library assistant

The Union County Library System has a busy week planned coming out of spring break. On Tuesday morning at 10 a.m., the library will host its weekly Tuesday Storytime for ages birth-5, featuring stories, music, crafts, and fun. It will be held in person at the Carnegie Library. The Tween Book Club will meet at the library Tuesday at 4 p.m. The library system’s virtual event, Let’s Talk About STEAM, featuring activities dealing with science, technology, engineering, arts, and math, will be posted to the library system’s Facebook page and YouTube channel Thursday at 4 p.m.

The library system will be closed for Good Friday this Friday, April 15. They will reopen Monday, April 18, at 8:30 a.m.

The library is looking to hire a part-time library assistant. The job requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to work evenings and weekends. Those interested must submit a job application to jobs@unionlibrary.org or to the Carnegie Library at 300 East South Street. The application is available online at unionlibrary.org/employment.
