SCDC is hiring for multiple positions at Tyger River Correctional Institution
The South Carolina Department of Corrections has three job fairs scheduled across the area this month, as they are hiring for numerous positions. The first of the job fairs will be this morning from 8-11 at the Union County Carnegie Library, at 300 East South Street. They will be at the Laurens Public Library tomorrow, March 16, from 9-noon. That library is at 1017 West Main Street in Laurens. On Wednesday, March 22, they will hold a job fair at the Woodruff Public Library at 270 East Hayne Street in Woodruff from 1-5 p.m.
The jobs are at the Tyger River Correctional Institution at 200 Prison Road in Enoree. They are looking to hire correctional officers, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, food service specialists, mental health professionals, facilities maintenance, mental health officers, certified teachers, caseworkers, and counselors. A $7500 sign-on bonus is offered for correctional officers, LPNs, and food service specialists, and a $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered for registered nurses.
