You are invited to both parties' monthly meetings
The local Democratic and Republican parties have some events coming up. On Thursday, June 2, the Union County Democratic Party will host a Sneakers and Sandals Fish Fry at Veterans Lodge at Foster Park. It will go from 6-8 p.m. Cost is $15 a plate, pay as you go. Food will be cooked by the Cook Em U Grill Food Truck. The party asks you wear your best sneakers or sandals and come out to meet local candidates, eat, play games, and fellowship with one another. The party also wants to emphasize their monthly meetings, held at Union City Hall on the 4th Monday of each month at 6 p.m.
On Monday, June 6, the Union County Republican Party will welcome State Senator Shane Martin as the guest speaker for the group’s regular monthly meeting. They meet the first Monday of each month at 6 p.m. at 708 North Duncan Bypass, Suite D. The public is invited to attend.
