School district takes these events into the communities
The towns of Carlisle and Lockhart will be hosting free family engagement events this morning as part of the Union County School District’s outreach efforts. They held events in the City of Union and in Jonesville yesterday. The school district is partnering with the SC Office of Early Learning and Literacy to offer these workshops for parents and children ages 2-5. The workshop will focus on the theme, “Letter Sounds are Everywhere”. Come and learn how to increase your child’s awareness of the segments of sound in speech and how they link to letters. Each participant will receive a book from the school district. The workshop will be presented at the Carlisle Town Hall this morning from 9-9:30 a.m. Another workshop will be held at the Lockhart Town Hall today from 10-10:30 a.m.
