Update on water system, offer to do roofing repairs on the agenda
The Lockhart Town Council will be meeting tonight at 7 p.m. at the Lockhart Town Hall. Town Hall is located at 118 Mill Street in Lockhart. The council will be hearing from some political hopefuls at the meeting. Ben Ivey and Timika Wilson, both running as Democrats for Union County Supervisor, will address the council. Two who will be on the November ballot will be on hand to address the council, as well. Mayor Connie Porter will update council members on the town’s water system. She will also ask for feedback from council on homes in the town that might need roofing repairs, as she said she has been approached by a group that wants to help with that sort of thing. The public is welcome to attend.
