Daniel Prince

Vehicles will need to be moved from Main Street prior to the events

The Union Public Safety Department wants to spread the word about upcoming events that will require Main Street to be closed off to traffic and parked vehicles temporarily moved from Main Street. The first of those events is Monday’s Halloween Downtown event. Cars need to be moved from Main Street between 3:30 and 6 p.m. that day. The event itself will go from 4-5:30.

The next event requiring Main Street to be blocked off will be the annual Veterans Day Parade and Ceremony, on Friday, November 11. Vehicles will need to be moved from Main Street between 7:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Pre-parade music usually begins around 10:00, with the parade itself beginning at 10:30 and the ceremony taking place from 11-noon.

A third event closing Main Street is the Downtown Christmas Open House event on Thursday, November 17. Cars will need to be removed from Main Street between 3-9 p.m. that day. The event is scheduled from 5-8 p.m.

The final event on the schedule is the Union Christmas Parade on Friday, December 2. Vehicles will need to be moved from Main Street between 4-8 p.m. that day. The Christmas parade will begin at 6 p.m.

Union Public Safety thanks everyone in advance for their cooperation in making these events successful and positive for downtown Union.
