Man was upset that the kids weren't put on the school bus

A man reportedly upset that the kids were not put on the school bus was charged with assaulting two women in the home. The incident took place last Monday morning at an address on Drugstore Street in Buffalo. The victim told Deputy Nicholson that the man, identified as 31-year-old Otis Mathew Anderson, Jr., became irate and fussing at her for the kids not being put on the bus. She said she didn’t put them on the bus because of an incident the previous week where her daughter was being bullied and messed with on the bus. She got out of bed to get ready to take the children to school, but she said Anderson continued to yell and scream at her, and he then slapped her on the left side of her face, causing red marks that the deputy could see and photograph. She said Anderson then began throwing things inside the room, including the bed, and started to grab some things to pack his car so he could leave. Nicholson spoke with the other woman, who stated that after Anderson slapped the other woman, he was throwing and shoving various items in the bedroom. She said she was struck in the leg by the bed when he shoved it. The deputy saw bruising and a place where the bed had broken the skin and drew blood. He photographed her injuries, as well.

Anderson was arrested and charged with 3rd-degree assault and battery and 2nd-degree domestic violence. While looking for the key to Anderson’s vehicle, Deputy Nicholson found a blunt sitting on a shelf by the front door. The women stated it wasn’t theirs, and that Anderson regularly smokes marijuana. The blunt, which contained 0.6 grams of marijuana, was put in the evidence drop box for destruction. Anderson will also be charged with marijuana possession.
