Man appeared to be intoxicated and was cursing in front of the kids
While nearly everyone had a great time at the Union Christmas parade Friday night, one Union man had to be escorted to Union County Jail. Sgt. Dean Allen was at the corner of East Main Street and North Mountain Street when a woman approached him and told him that a man appeared to be intoxicated and was cursing in front of the kids. Allen approached the man and identified him as 39-year-old Michael Deangelo Worthy. Allen told him he needed to go into the apartments. Worthy told Allen he would walk home. Allen replied that he could go into the apartments but could not walk home to Foster Street. As he began walking away, Worthy spoke with a male subject who told him he needed to leave, and Worthy began cursing at him. Allen then placed Worthy under arrest for public intoxication and transported him to Union County Jail for booking. Worthy was issued a uniform traffic ticket for disorderly conduct.
