Coroner's Office identifies victim as Nicholas A. Richelshagen
According to Master Trooper Brandon Bolt with the SC Highway Patrol, a person involved in a wreck on Friday, November 12, on Hwy. 215 near Echo Valley Road died Saturday due to injuries sustained in the wreck. Bolt stated the driver was in a 2017 Hyundai Veloster. Bolt said the driver was not wearing a seat belt. The vehicle was passed by an unknown vehicle, but no contact was made by the other vehicle, Bolt said. After the pass was complete, the Veloster went off the right side of the roadway, struck a ditch and embankment, and overturned, ejecting the driver. No other people were in the vehicle. The Union County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 39-year-old Nicholas A. Richelshagen of Santuc Carlisle Highway.
