Lockhart Power sponsoring one of the mobile units at Bearden-Josey
Lockhart Power has partnered with the Bearden-Josey Center for Breast Health to sponsor one of its mobile mammography units. It will be scheduled at different locations in Union County throughout the next year. Breast screening is a critical method of prevention and early detection of breast cancer.
The mobile unit will be visiting the Lockhart Town Hall on Tuesday, November 30. Women aged 35 and older with no current breast symptoms and who are not pregnant or breast feeding are eligible. Since it is a mobile unit, women must also be able to walk up the unit stairs. To make an appointment, call 864-560-7777.
Lockhart Power says bringing the mammography unit to our local communities is one way they can provide much needed access to citizens and to their employees and their families.
