More Details Released in Car vs. Bicycle Accident

No word on the condition of the injured teen

There is no word on the condition of the juvenile injured in the car vs. bicycle accident Tuesday on West Main Street, but the Union Public Safety Department has given more information on the accident. The accident occurred in the 1200 block of West Main Street. A 13-year-old riding a bicycle was seriously injured and airlifted to a Greenville County hospital. The Public Safety Department stated that after its investigation into the accident was completed, they determined that the bicyclist entered the roadway from a side street and into the path of the vehicle as it traveled west on SC 49. No charges will be filed concerning the accident.
