Few details released in the ongoing investigation
The Union County Narcotics Task Force, a joint venture between the Union County Sheriff’s Office and the Union Public Safety Department, announced Thursday evening that following a nearly two-year investigation, the task force, joined by the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office and federal agents, executed a search warrant at a location in the City of Union. The release stated that the location has been connected to the trafficking of many illegal drugs and weapons associated with some of the violent crimes that have taken place in the county. Three people were arrested during the search, and a quantity of drugs and weapons were found. Due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, no further details were released. The names of those arrested and the charges against them were not released, either. WBCU News will follow this story and bring you more details as they become available.
