Kim Babb honored at program held at Spartanburg Medical Center
Kim Babb, a nurse at Union Medical Center, was honored with a DAISY Award for 2022. Other DAISY Award winners this year are Frankie Gilbert from Spartanburg Regional’s post-acute division, Beth Peeler from Spartanburg Medical Center, Jessica Ingram from Pelham Medical Center, and Abigail Kiser from Cherokee Medical Center. Kiser was named the Jo Ann McMillan Outstanding Nurse of the Year for the Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System at a program held at the Spartanburg Medical Center’s Church Street campus. Each honoree received $500 from the Spartanburg Regional Foundation’s Jo Ann McMillan Fund.
The DAISY Award is an international recognition program that honors and celebrates the compassionate care that nurses provide each day. Characteristics the awards committee looks for are:
