Polls Open for Statewide Runoffs

Maness vs. Weaver for Republican Superintendent; Bruce vs. Matthews for Democratic US Senate

Polls are open today from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for the statewide runoff elections. On the Republican side, Kathy Maness faces Ellen Weaver for the State Superintendent of Education nomination. The winner will take on Democrat Lisa Ellis in November. On the Democratic side, Catherine Fleming Bruce faces Krystle Matthews for the US Senate nomination. The winner will take on Republican Senator Tim Scott in November. Those who voted in the statewide primaries two weeks ago must vote in the same party’s runoff today. If you did not vote two weeks ago, you can choose which runoff in which to vote.
