Potter's Storehouse Needs Donations for the Holidays

Daniel Prince

Thanksgiving distribution is November 22; toy donations welcome through December 20

The Potter’s Storehouse is preparing for their annual Thanksgiving food distribution. It will be held on Monday, November 22, from 10 a.m. until noon, and also from 4-6 p.m. To make the distribution a success, the ministry is asking the community, churches, businesses, organizations, individuals, and other groups for assistance.

They need donations of turkeys, whole chickens, chicken leg quarters, whole hams, canned ham, any other meats, canned goods, and non-perishable food items, such as rice, stuffing, mashed potatoes, candied yams, gravy in jars or packets, cranberry sauce, and other things. These can be used for the Thanksgiving giveaway and the Christmas giveaway. In addition to food donations, they can also accept monetary contributions.

Make checks payable to The Potter’s Store House, and you can mail them to PO Box 117, Jonesville, SC 29353. Donations can be dropped off on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10:30 a.m. until noon. After hours, contact Minister Della Hill at 466-5675 to make other arrangements.

They are also accepting donations of toys for Christmas through December 20. The Potter’s Storehouse will be closed next Tuesday through Friday, November 23-26. They will resume normal business operations on Monday, November 29, from 10:30 until noon.
