Contractor, engineers, COG staff, and town officials will answer questions tonight
Jonesville Town Council will hold a public meeting tonight from 6:30-7:30 in the cafeteria at the Jonesville Municipal Complex. This meeting will provide information to the town’s residents on the Jonesville Mill Site cleanup. The town announced last week that all the paperwork has been completed and contracts have been awarded for the project. At the public meeting, the contractor company, engineers, Catawba Regional Council of Governments, and town staff will be on hand to answer questions about the construction process and what is to be expected in the surrounding construction area. They note that the meeting is not to discuss or debate the future development of the site. Instead, it will provide information to residents surrounding the park on truck traffic, noise, dust control, and other things related to the cleanup.
