Woman states man pulled a gun on her in parking lot behind barbershop

Union Public Safety has arrested a man for an incident with a gun that took place on March 31st. Cpl. Malik Harris spoke to the victim by phone. She stated she went to Keenan’s Barbershop to get some cigarettes. She went around to the back as she usually did, and when she got out of her car, she stated a light-skinned black man pulled a gun out and pointed it at her. She said he told her that she was not supposed to be there. The woman didn’t know the exact time in the afternoon when the incident occurred. Harris spoke to barbershop staff, who were unaware of the incident. He spoke to several subjects behind the barbershop, and they stated they saw a black female and a black male arguing, but they both left. None of them mentioned a gun. The victim called Harris back and told him that after the man pulled the gun, she smacked his hand, and she said she had a scratch on her finger from the contact. The case was sent to investigations, and a warrant was signed back on April 7 on 25-year-old Kemon Shyquarius Jones. Jones was arrested Monday on a charge of pointing and presenting a firearm at a person.
