Public Safety Investigates Report of Shots Fired

Officers responded to South Church Street

Around 10:25 p.m. Saturday, officers were dispatched to South Church Street for a report of shots being heard. Officers rode the area but could not locate anyone leaving the area or close by. Officers went to an apartment on South Church Street and spoke with the complainant there, who stated he heard a loud noise and saw people running through his yard. He said he didn’t know if someone had shot or if someone was banging on his window. He said he heard people outside his apartment and thought they were coming for him. He said he didn’t have any problems with anyone that he knew about. Nothing was found in the area around the apartment or in the area where he saw people running.
