School district to receive audit report among other agenda items
The Union County Board of School Trustees is set to meet for its regular monthly session tonight in Room 600 of the Union County Career and Technology Center. The meeting will begin with a planned one-hour executive session, during which the board will be discussing contractual and personnel matters. If all stays on schedule, the regular board meeting would begin at 7:30.
Superintendent Joey Haney will give his updates to the board. There will also be a student and staff recognition. After that, Andrew Dobson with McAbee, Schwartz, Halliday, and Co. will present the yearly audit report. Kelly Richardson with the finance department will then present the monthly budget report. Dr. Lacresha Byrd will present the District Strategic Plan for board approval. Jeff Stribble will present the personnel report for approval, followed by administrator contracts for the coming school year and the teacher contracts for the coming school year. The meeting will then adjourn. The public is invited to attend.
