Update on Foster Park Elementary, data overview among agenda highlights
The Union County Board of School Trustees will hold their October monthly meeting at 6:30 tonight in Room 600 of the Union County Career and Technology Center. At the meeting, Mike Cohen will discuss highlights from the Beyond the Basics Workshop, and BJ McMorris will discuss highlights from the Risky Business Seminar. Superintendent Joey Haney will present his updates to the board after that. The board will select the delegate who will be voting at the Legislative Advocacy Conference on December 4th. Manning Jeter has indicated interest in attending. Dr. Fran Adams will update the board on Foster Park Elementary School. Dr. Lacresha Byrd will present the 2020-2021 data overview. Tim Barnado will present first readings of policies dealing with video monitoring of buildings and grounds and also school buses. The board is expected to take action on the Children’s Internet Protection Act compliance information and public notification. No changes are required to the policy. Bryan Gresham will present the monthly budget report. An executive session is planned to take up a personnel, contractual, and legal matter. Afterward, the board will vote on the personnel report.
