Board will receive information on the district's five-year capital projects plan
The Union County Board of School Trustees will meet for a budget work session tonight at 6 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose Room of the Union County Career and Technology Center. New District Finance Director Linda Griffin and the former Finance Director Kelly Richardson will lead the workshop, giving board members a first look at what may go into the budget this year. Much of the district budget depends on what the state legislature does with its state budget, which will not be finalized until closer to June, so a good bit can change between what will be discussed tonight and what the final budget looks like when presented for board approval in June. In addition, the board will receive information on the district’s five-year capital projects plan. The session is open to the public, but it will not be livestreamed. The next regular meeting of the school board will be Monday, February 27, at 6:30 p.m.
