First reading of budget, info on summer school and camps among the agenda highlights
The Union County Board of School Trustees will hold its regular monthly meeting tonight in Room 600 at the Union County Career and Technology Center. As it has done the past few months, the board will begin with an executive session at 6:30, and the open session will start at 7:30. During the executive session, the board will be discussing contractual and personnel matters.
During the open session, Superintendent Joey Haney will provide updates to the board. Student recognition is also on the agenda. He will present the proposed meeting dates and locations to the board for the 2022-2023 year for approval.
Finance Director Kelly Richardson will present first reading of the budget for the coming year, as well as the usual monthly budget report.
Director of Instruction Dr. Lacresha Byrd will provide information to the board on summer school and summer camps for the district. She will also present textbook adoptions for science and social studies.
Personnel Director Jeff Stribble will present the personnel report for approval, and then the meeting will adjourn.
