Community engagement events go to the citizens
The Union County School District will partner with the SC Office of Early Learning and Literacy later this month to again go out to the different communities across the county with a special event for families with children ages 2-5. The April event is called Get Hooked on a Book. It will be offered on April 26 and 27. The events are free family engagement events to support reading accuracy, fluency, and comprehension. Free books will be given to those who participate. The event will be held on Wednesday, April 26, at 9 a.m. at Union City Hall. At 1:30 p.m. on April 26, it will be at the Jonesville Town Hall. On Thursday, April 27, the event will be offered at the Monarch Fire Department at 1 p.m., and it will be at the Lockhart Town Hall at 2 p.m. on the 27th.
