Superintendent Joey Haney to be grand marshal in Lockhart parade

The Union County School District has a couple of reminders to pass along. From the technology department, those that owe more than $150 for laptop damages may purchase insurance for $50 between now and winter break, and all damages that have occurred this year will be covered by the insurance. This does not apply to devices that have been lost or have extensive, intentional damages. The technology department says a SwiftReach call to those that qualify will be sent out later this week.

Also, Superintendent Joey Haney will be holding another Coffee with the Superintendent event at Elle Bell Café this Friday, December 10, from 8-9 a.m. Elle Bell is located at 111 West Main Street. It will be a chance to come out and share your ideas for the future of the school district.

Congratulations to Superintendent Haney for being selected as the parade marshal for the Town of Lockhart’s Christmas Parade this Sunday at 3 p.m. Haney is a 1990 graduate of Lockhart High School.
