Stollger, Farr take home honors
The Union County School District handed out a couple of major honors at its back-to-school annual meeting. The proceedings took place at the high school, but teachers at other schools had to view the meeting online. TJ Jeter provided music at the event, and comedian Mike Goodwin entertained the group, as well.
Kristina Stollger was named the Union County School District’s Teacher of the Year. Stollger teaches English at Union County High School. In addition, Lennah Farr was named First Year Teacher of the Year. Farr teaches first grade at Buffalo Elementary School.
Teachers will spend the rest of this week getting ready for their students. First day of school for students will be Monday, August 23.
