Early dismissal days used for additional staff development
Union County Schools wants to remind everyone that Friday, October 22, will be an early dismissal day. The district implemented early dismissal days two years ago to allow for more time throughout the year for staff development and training opportunities. Students in elementary schools will be dismissed at 12:15 p.m. on Friday. Middle school students will be dismissed at 12:45 p.m., and Union County High School will let out at 1 p.m. The students will receive lunch. There are only two early dismissal days built into the calendar this year. The other one was last month, on September 24.
