Operation Workforce Training started in 2018 through partnerships with the county, Union County Schools, Spartanburg Community College, and Lockhart Power Company, who provided the graduates with $500 cash. The 65-hour program works closely with local industry to provide students with basic skills to gain an entry-level position offer. The program is funded by a grant through the State Technical College System.
