Several hiring events are coming up in Spartanburg and surrounding areas.
Cooper Standard is holding a hiring event today from 8-4 at the Spartanburg Community College Tyger River Campus, located at 1875 East Main Street in Duncan. Cooper is hiring automotive manufacturing associates for second and third shifts, at $18.70 an hour; material handlers at $18.91 an hour; warehouse associates at $19.66 an hour; and maintenance technicians for second shift and the weekend at $27-$34 an hour. Drug screen and background checks are required. Starting pay is $21.34 an hour, plus a $2/hour rotation shift premium and a potential $1500 sign-on bonus. The job includes paid vacation and holidays. Elite Home Care Day Centers & Transportation is holding a hiring event on Thursday, January 19, from 10-2 at SC Works Spartanburg, located at 110 Commerce Street. They have caregiver positions available in Union and Spartanburg. Experience is preferred but not required, and the pay ranges from $12-$15 an hour.
Next week, SC Works Upstate will hold a multi-employer manufacturing hiring event. It will be Tuesday, January 24, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the TK Gregg Community Center, located at 650 Howard Street in Spartanburg. 10 employers have signed on to take part in the event.
