Sheriff's Office Investigates Shooting at South Hills Sports Complex

The Union County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that happened Tuesday afternoon at the South Hills Sports Complex. Deputies responded at 5:04 p.m. to the area regarding a report of shots being fired. When they arrived, they found a white male who had sustained a gunshot wound. He was airlifted to Spartanburg Regional for treatment. His condition is unknown. The sheriff’s office states this is an active investigation and investigators are following leads.
