Company needs material handlers, machine operators, and maintenance technicians
As a reminder, Standard Textile will be holding a job fair at their location at 100 Highpoint Drive in Union on Thursday, February 17, from 8 a.m. to noon. They are looking to hire material handlers, machine operators, and maintenance technicians.
Material handlers need at least a year of material handling experience, preferably in textiles; sit-down forklift and tugger/pallet jack experience is required; RF Scanning experience is preferred; ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required; and a high school diploma or GED is preferred.
For machine operators, two years of machine operator experience is required, preferably in textiles; some data gathering, data entry, and computer skills are needed; tugger or forklift operator experience is preferred; and a high school diploma or GED is preferred.
For the maintenance technician position, at least 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is required, preferably in textiles; electrical experience is preferred; sewing or autosewing experience would be great, and weaving experience would also translate well; and a high school diploma or GED is required, with higher education preferred but not required if they have experience.
