Deion Jamison from Legacy Early College Charter School promotes equal opportunities for all students
Foster Park Elementary School hosted a special guest Monday. South Carolina Teacher of the Year Deion Jamison visited several classes in the school, reading to them and making a presentation to them. Jamison taught for a couple of years in his hometown in Orangeburg County before moving to Greenville and teaching at the Legacy Early College Charter School. He has spent this past year going around the state, spending time with teacher cadet programs, visiting schools and classes, and helping to promote his platform of equal opportunities for all students. WBCU News spoke with Jamison on Monday and asked about his visit and his time as South Carolina Teacher of the Year:
