Strengthening Families Program Delayed Until February

Daniel Prince

Program to be held at Foster Park starting February 1

The start date for the next Strengthening Families class has been pushed back to February 1st, which means it is not too late to sign your family up. Healthy U Behavioral Health Services, C4 Ministries, Inc., and Children’s Trust of South Carolina are registering families for the third class of Strengthening Families. The program will be hosted at Foster Park Elementary School for the next session.

Parents and children are invited to participate in a series of interactive, fun, family nights out. Along the way, those attending can learn to listen more and yell less, prevent behavior problems, improve relationships with the children, build stronger relationships in family, and better manage stress. To qualify, the family must have a child aged 6-11. They may have other children of other ages, but at least one must be between the ages of 6 and 11.

The third class of Strengthening Families will begin Tuesday, February 1, from 6-8 p.m. at Foster Park Elementary School. Those participating get a free dinner at each session, free gifts and raffle prizes—most families walk away with $20 or more, free childcare, and a free gas card for transportation cost. Spaces are limited, so call to register at 864-494-9916, 426-6894, or 429-1656.
