Library's free Community Pantry will receive the donations
Thursday is the last day to drop off items for the United Way of the Piedmont’s Stuff the Pantry campaign this year. The Union County Library System’s Community Pantry will be this year’s Union County Stock the Pantry recipient. All donations will support the library’s pantry, which is free, anonymous, and open to the public whenever the library is open. Donations can be dropped off at the Union County Carnegie Library, at 300 East South Street, through Thursday, November 10. You can also drop them off at Arthur State Bank’s branches in Union County, on Main Street, Monarch, and West Towne. They need items such as boxed macaroni and cheese, canned goods, cereal, chili beans, grits, juices, pre-packaged snacks and chips, potatoes, rice, soups, and spaghetti, along with other items like paper towels, soap, and toilet paper.
