Area 49 to headline concert
Tonight wraps up the summer concert series, First Thursday Music on Main. The featured entertainment this evening is Area 49, who will perform from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at The Depot, at 119 West Main Street.
The group’s Facebook page description states, “Area 49 is a Rock band with a sound reminiscent of the 1990s, but with a modern twist.” Bring out your lawn chairs and enjoy the music. Main Street Deli will be open until 8:30, and some other Main Street merchants will be, as well. DHEC will be on site providing COVID vaccinations to any who want one.
The concert series is presented by the Union County Chamber of Commerce. Gonvauto South Carolina is the concert sponsor. The Union County Tourism Commission is the band sponsor. Several other businesses and individuals are listed as supporting sponsors of the event.
