Movie, stories, crafts, and theater group all part of final activities for the summer

There are two weeks left in the summer reading program at the Union County Library System. This evening, they will hold their final Movies Under the Stars event. They will show the movie, “Spiderman: No Way Home”. The movie is rated PG-13. You are invited to gather on the lawn of the library starting at 8:30, and the movie will begin at sundown. Bring a blanket or chair for sitting. Snacks will be sold by the Friends of the Library.

Tomorrow will be another Tuesday Storytime for ages birth to four. It will start at 10 a.m. at the library, featuring stories, music, crafts, and fun. The weekly craft event, called Take & Make vs. Make & Take, will be Tuesday from 4-6 p.m., with the theme Seahorse Secrets. You can make your craft at the library, or you can pick up the materials at the library and take them home to make it.

Friday will be another Fintastic Friday with outdoor fun at the library. They will have sprinklers, yard games, crafts, and more.

The final summer reading performers will come to the library next week, on Thursday, July 28, at 3 p.m. Bright Star Touring Theatre will present The Little Mermaid.

Summer reading at the library is sponsored by the South Carolina State Library, Friends of the Union County Carnegie Library, Bantam Chef, and Lockhart Power. Track reading and activities throughout summer reading with the Beanstack Tracker app, or go online to unionlibrary.beanstack.org.
