The community is experiencing a severe blood shortage that could last into the winter months without immediate action. The only way to recover is for more people to donate blood on a regular basis.
The Blood Connection will have its bloodmobile at Walmart of Union today from 11-7. COVID-19 antibody testing is included with all blood donations. The screening tests each donor’s blood to see if it contains antibodies from a natural response and vaccine response. To opt out of antibody screening, call 864-255-5000.
