Jacob Casey and Mary Price will benefit from the events
A couple of benefits are planned this week to help out individuals battling cancer. The first is a Fiesta Fundraiser for Jacob Casey. It will be held this evening at La Fogata Mexican Restaurant from 5-10 p.m. The restaurant will be donating a portion of the proceeds to Jacob Casey for travel and cancer treatment expenses at MUSC.
A second benefit is scheduled for this Saturday at Mary’s Music Hall from 2 until they close. The benefit is for Mary Price, who is also battling cancer. Organizers are asking for a $10 donation. They will have chicken stew and salad and various desserts available. They will be raffling off limited edition Barbie dolls and other things for $1 a ticket. The Mike Hayes Band, Jimmy Webb Band, and Joker’s Habit Band will all play at the event. Mary’s Music Hall is at 708 South Duncan Bypass in Union.
