School Board District 6, Jonesville Fire Board seats to be decided
Next Tuesday, April 11, will feature two special elections in Union County. The first is for Union County School Board District 6, where voters will choose the candidate that will take over Frank M. Hart’s seat on the board through 2024. District 6 comprises parts of the Bonham, Buffalo, Jonesville Box 1, Jonesville Box 2, Kelton, Ward 1 Box 2, and Ward 4 Box 1 precincts.
Two candidates are running for the seat—Kevin Brewington and Jordan Jeter. WBCU will be airing a political forum during the 9:00 hour tomorrow, Tuesday, April 4. Brewington will be on air answering questions. Jeter has work obligations that will keep him from attending. If you have any questions for Brewington, email daniel@wbcuradio.com or call 427-2411 Tuesday morning.
The other special election taking place next Tuesday will be for the Jonesville Fire Board. There is only one candidate on the ballot there, and that is James E. “Jimmy” Wilkins.
WBCU News will not be providing live election results on air, but we will cover the election and post updates to our website and Facebook page and provide full coverage in the next day’s newscasts.
