It's not too late to sign up for 4-H
Union County 4-H’s activities are picking back up in the new year. The 4-H Trail Blazers will meet Saturday from 9-3 at the flower building at the Union County Fairgrounds. Baking Buddies will meet Tuesday, January 10, at 3:30 p.m. in the Clemson Extension Meeting Room, followed by Forged in 4-H at 5:30 at the fairgrounds. 4-H Shooting Sports will learn about air rifle safety and skills Thursday, January 12, at 7 in the flower building at the fairgrounds. The 4-H Poultry Club meets Thursday, January 19, at 7 p.m. in the flower building. The Recycle Club will meet Tuesday, January 24, at 3:30 in the Clemson Extension Meeting Room. 4-H Shooting Sports will learn archery safety and skills on Thursday, January 26, at 7 p.m. in the flower building at the fairgrounds. As a reminder, the deadline for the Honey Bee Project will be Friday, February 10.
4-H reminds teachers of their 4-H in the Schools initiative. There are many programs and curricula that fit educational standards and complement classroom teaching. 4-H is open to public, private, and home schools. No registration fees will be charged to students participating in classroom 4-H programs.
If you are interested in joining Union County 4-H, membership dues are $15 per year. It is open to ages 5-19. The program year runs from September 1 through August 31.
