$4000 worth of supplies to help more than 140 students at the school
The Union County Community Remembrance Project delivered school supplies to Foster Park Elementary School on Wednesday. The supplies were gathered this summer by members and supporters of the UCCRP, with help from USC Union. Donations of money and supplies at the Back-to-School Cookout and School Supply Drive totaled $4000, and Caden Jackson, Timika Wilson, Ramona Bowles, and others delivered the supplies to the school. With the donation, more than 140 students will be equipped with school supplies for the year, plus extras. Dr. Fran Adams and Kathryn Sommer-Gough, the administrative team at Foster Park Elementary, stated they were humbled and grateful for the enormous generosity of the group, and they thanked all the individuals, groups, and businesses who made the donation possible.
