Music, bounce houses, fire trucks, and information will be featured
October is Fire Prevention Month, and Union County firefighters usually set aside a day during the month to come together with the community for a fun event that spotlights fire safety. Santuc Fire Department Chief Mark Wade tells about this year’s event, to be held in the parking lot at Wingz Sports Pub, at 719 North Duncan Bypass:

Fire trucks and ladder trucks will be on hand for the event. There will be music by a DJ, bounce houses for the kids, and a lot more. The various fire departments will be competing in the 10th annual Union County Firefighter Corn Hole Challenge, for bragging rights and trophies. The event is being sponsored by Safe Industries of Easley. They are a provider of firefighting equipment for South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee.
