Union County Library System Announces This Week's Schedule

Daniel Prince

Events include Thinking Money for Kids exhibit kickoff

The Union County Library System has three events planned this week, two of which will take place at the library. The weekly Tuesday Storytime will be held Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. It is geared for children up to age 5 and features music, crafts, stories, and fun.

Tuesday afternoon will be the library’s kickoff event celebrating the national Thinking Money for Kids exhibit, which opened last Thursday. The Union library is the only institution in the state that will be hosting this exhibit. From 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, they will host the Kick-Off Family Game Night with fun for the entire family. They will have games dealing with money, such as Life, Monopoly, Act Your Wage, Pay Day, and Exact Change. It is a chance to unplug and interact with fun and educational financial resources. Snacks will be provided.

Thursday at 4 will be the virtual Let’s Talk About STEAM event. The video will be posted to the library’s Facebook page and YouTube channel by 4 p.m. Thursday.
