Event will spotlight community service organizations and their services
The Union County Library System will present the Union County Resource Fair on Thursday, May 19, from 2-4 p.m. at the Carnegie Library. This event brings together a number of community service organizations with information on the resources they can provide to the people of Union County. Participants include the Union County Library System, Union County DSS, Union County Farm & Craft Market, Union County Foodshare, Union County Guardian Ad Litem, Union County NAACP, Gibbs Cancer Center, and I58, which is the agency that works with SC Uplift for the Senior Home Modification Program, among other things. All who attend will receive a free Kona Ice. They will have food and door prizes at the event, as well. Annie Jones, social worker and assistant library director, came up with the idea for this event after being approached by an organization:
