Union County Republican Party Announces Red Rally Event

Former Rep. Mick Mulvaney will be keynote speaker

The Union County Republican Party is hosting a Red Rally on Friday, February 18, at 7 p.m. at Main Street Junction, at 107 East Main Street.

The event will feature former Rep. Mick Mulvaney, who served as House District 5 Representative from 2011-2017. He left the post after being confirmed as Office of Management and Budget Director in February 2017. He was named acting White House Chief of Staff from January 2019 to March 2020. He then served as the US Special Envoy for Northern Ireland from March 2020 until January 2021, resigning following the protests and storming of the capitol on January 6.

Tickets to the Red Rally are $35 each, including a ribeye steak dinner per ticket. VIP table reservations are $350 and are good for a table of 8 with a ribeye meal each, plus VIP access to meet and greet with Mulvaney prior to the event, along with a photo with Mulvaney.

Tickets are first-come, first-served, and they must be bought in advance. They are on sale at Smith’s Jewelry Store at 121 East Main Street, Nonie’s, at 700 West Main Street, and Embroidery by Karen at 506A South Duncan Bypass. Tickets are cash or check only. They will not be sold at the door.
