Subject faces weapons charge for pistol found at the scene
A Union man was arrested for taking his father’s bank card and spending $4600 in Cash App and Amazon transactions. The man’s father went to Union Public Safety Headquarters to report the incident. He said the transactions were made without his permission, and that he does not have a Cash App or Amazon account. He gave officers his bank statements from February through April. After investigating, 23-year-old Theodore Walker, Jr. was arrested and charged with financial transaction card theft and financial transaction card fraud.
That afternoon, PFC Jamison Taylor was dispatched to the Scotchman store at 100 North Duncan Bypass. He spoke with Sgt. Burdine of the sheriff’s office, who said they had detained a black male. After checking behind the store, they found several debit and credit cards and a revolver pistol in the grass. Taylor went in the store and talked to the clerk, who said a black male entered the store, went into a storage closet, and shut the door. Later, the man came out wearing a pair of plastic gloves. The man was identified as Walker, and he was arrested and charged with public disorderly conduct and unlawful carry of a pistol.
