Union Teen Injured in Vehicle vs. Bicycle Accident

Teen flown to Greenville for treatment

A Union teenager was seriously injured in a car vs. bicycle accident on West Main Street Tuesday. The Union Public Safety Department responded to the 1200 block of West Main for a collision involving a 2018 Honda Accord and a 13-year-old juvenile riding a bicycle. City firefighters responded to the scene and assisted with traffic control. Union County EMS arrived to treat the teen and requested via dispatch for Regional One to respond. EMS transported the teen to the Union County Fairgrounds, where Regional One had landed. The teen was flown to Greenville. According to EMS the juvenile is in serious condition, with no word on the extent of the injuries the teen suffered. The collision is under investigation, and no further details are available right now.
