Numerous drug charges date back to July and August
A Union woman was arrested on Christmas night on drug charges stemming from the summer of 2021. Few details were given in the police report, other than to say that on July 28, 2021, Union County Sheriff’s Office narcotics investigators were able to make distribution of methamphetamine charges against now-36-year-old Laci Laxton West through an extensive narcotics investigation. The incident report on August 4, 2021, says virtually the same thing. West was arrested last Sunday evening and charged with two counts of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, 3rd and subsequent offense, and two counts of possession with intent to distribute meth within proximity of a park, playground, or school. Bond was set at $30,000 on the charges, and West is still in the Union County Detention Center.
