Uniquely Union to Bring Top-Quality BBQ Competition

Daniel Prince

Tasters Choice gets the public involved in the competition

Main Street will be a busy place this Friday and Saturday, as the Uniquely Union Festival returns for the first time since 2016. It will feature great entertainment, a Kids Zone, Club 864, vendors, and great food. The BBQ cookoff is always a big part of the event, and it’s not just the professionals who can judge the event. For $10, you can buy a Taster’s Choice ticket from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. and receive 10 two-ounce sample cups of BBQ from the cookers. You will then cast your vote for your favorite, with the winner receiving a special cash prize.

Tubo Owens talks about that aspect of the festival:

The folks at Uniquely Union will be back on the air to talk about the festival today at 9 a.m. If you don’t catch it live, you can go back and watch it on our Facebook page, or listen to the on-demand section of our WBCU app.
